The winter solstice gifts us the longest night of the year 🌌
An ideal moment to observe and photograph the sky from the protected environment of Papagayo, one of the places with the lowest light pollution in Lanzarote.

An experience that brings together astronomy, photography, and nature.

Objectives:
• Introduction to landscape astrophotography.
• Understanding the movement of the sky and the meaning of the solstice.
• Optimal camera settings for night sky photography.
• Promoting respect for dark skies.

Program:
18:30 – Welcome and brief introduction to the solstice.
Equipment preparation and basic settings.

19:00 – Sunset and blue hour.
Composition with natural and twilight light. Transition to night photography.

19:30 – Practical session: focus to infinity, ISO, aperture, exposure times.
Photography of constellations, star trails, and panoramas.
Naked-eye observation and with astronomical laser 🔭

9:00 PM – Closing and final thoughts.
Quick review of results and tips for post-processing.

🎒 What to bring:
DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode, tripod, shutter release or intervalometer, coat, comfortable shoes, red flashlight, and water.
